Starting in the 1950's with the youth culture, and especially Wild One, starring Marlon Brando; jeans and leather has been a popular style. Not to mention the sexual fantasies that gay men developed in correlation to these outfits. Tom of Finland was to follow, and the rest is like we say, history.
In the 50's and 60's, american gay magazines like Athletic Model Guild, and several others, made pictorials with beefcake men. These men often wore tight and faded jeans and denim clothing, since these were highly erotic for many gay men. Here are some good ones!
